Dr. Ronit Shalev:
Senior lecturer at the Educational Counselling course at
The Center for Academic Studies (MLA) and Co-chairperson of the forum
for Grief, Loss and Bereavement. A researcher in the field of bereave-
ment and loss and a Research Associate in the International Center for
the study of Loss, Bereavement and Resilience, in the University of Haifa.
Instructor and guide for managers of Aid Centers for Families of Homicide
Victims on behalf of the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Services’
“Sneh” Program, and a group leader for female relatives of IDF Fallen
Soldiers. Currently completing her Psychotherapy studies - integrating
body, mind and spirit recovery.
Rona Ackerman:
holds a social work certificate from Tel-Aviv University
Stress and Crisis Situations Specialization course, treats loss and
bereavement. Filled a number of positions in the IDF’s Casualty and
Wounded Soldiers Department during her military career service
and subsequently worked as a social worker at the National Center
of Forensic Medicine. Director of “Makom Lenesh(i)ma” (a place for
breathing/the soul) – a Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Services
program providing spiritual guidance for people in situations of sudden
loss and bereavement; and also, director of the “Bishvil Haruach” (For the
Spirit) program designed to introduce the perception and tools of spiritual
guidance into the Ministry of Education system.
Ilan Sharif:
National supervisor on the topic of sudden loss and
bereavement and theCouple’s andFamilyTherapy stations at thePersonal
and Family Well-Being Services in the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and
Social Services (MSW). Doctoral candidate at the Professional School of
Psychology in California.
Iris Socolover-Yacobi:
social worker, program manager in the Families
Unit in Ashalim. Graduate of Social Work studies at the Bar-Ilan University
and certified by the Ben Gurion University in the Negev in Public Policy
