Daniel Kolbar | ダニエル・コルバー Dear Friends and Colleagues, I amhonored to have the opportunity to contribute to this edition of the Japan- Israel Business Guide, dedicated to strengthening our bilateral economic ties as we celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations. The increasing cooperation between Japanese and Israeli companies in recent years creates perfect synergies, thanks to our complementary capabilities. With COVID 19 serving as a Digital Transformation catalyst, the economic bonds between our two nations are stronger than ever. Despite the limitations on in-person business meetings, we’ve seen an impressive surge of transactions in recent years. With this inmind, we feel humbled and privileged to be at the crossroads of this exciting era. Based in Tokyo and Osaka, my team and I at the Israel Economic & Trade Mission strive to build commercial partnerships, create business opportunities, promote inward investment, scout for Israeli technologies for Japanese corporations and foster bilateral governmental collaborations, in matters related to trade and investment promotion, innovation and trade policy. With the great support of our partners in Japan and in Israel, we are at your disposal for entering or expanding your business in Japan. We invite you to join our network and take part in the activities. As the strongmomentumof recent years continues to grow, themuch-anticipated direct flight will shorten the distance between Japan and Israel. Moreover, a bilateral free trade area agreement (Economic Partnership Agreement), is on track and moves forward. Once concluded, it will serve as an essential instrument to enhance the commercial relations further.
