Dear Readers, I n the past decade, the ties between Japan and Israel have been growing year by year and are currently at their highest level ever. The blossom of the Sakura has come to Japan-Israel relations, and I ameager towork on the continued unfolding of our relations. Israelis and Japanese are very different from each other: We have different habits, our ways to engage and doing business are diverse, and we come from two separate cultures andworlds. One is based on fast-moving, straightforward, trial-and-error approaches, and the other is slower, patient, paying attention to the smallest details up to perfection. Each side has something to learn and gain from the other. I believe that the synergy between our economies and cultures is extremely powerful. The relations between Israel and Japan are deepening in all fields.
