CII Organizes India-Israel Deep Tech Summit 2022 Coming Together in Technology & Innovation O nMarch 2022 , CII, in partnershipwith the Embassy of Israel in India, organized thefirst ever India-Israel DeeptechSummit with India’sOnnivationVentures as knowledge partner.   The conference featured a mix of transitioning digitization in every sector and how Israeli technology may aid India's tech-startupgrowth. Roundtable talks, seminars, and masterclasses were held on subjects such as Digital Disruption inAgribusiness, Leapfrogging from Traditional Analytics to Modern Data Apps, Optimization: Staying Agile, Cost Effective, and Providing a Seamless Customer Experience, and many others. At the inaugural session, H.E. Naor Gilon, Professor K Vijay Raghavan, Mr. Saket Agarwal and Mr. Salil Singhal emphasized that they can work easily together because they have a natural partnership and affinity. Prof. Vijay Raghavan, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India said, “The new capabilities of the Indian health sector will allow startups, health organizations, bigger industries, hospital chains and individuals to be consultants at the high-end, globally.” H. E. Naor Gilon, Ambassador of Israel to India said, “There is a lot of similarity between the Indians and the Israelis in terms of culture and I think that it's a very natural combination for us towork together. Both countries complement each other in terms of the tech industry.”  Mr. Saket Agarwal, Founder and CEO, Onnivation Ventures said, “The ties between India and Israel are a matchmade in heaven. India stands to gain tremendously by leveraging Israel’s strong expertise in solving issues around Cloud, Data and Security.” Mr. Salil Singhal Chairman , CII Task Force on AgriChemicals & Chairman-Emeritus, PI Industries said that Israeli industry, academic institutions and start- ups are creating innovative technology solutions for the whole world.” Experts from Israel hostedMasterclasses: The roundtables featured leading tech leaders, innovators, and VCs. Agriculture 4 . 0 talked about the digital disruption driving agribusiness . The agritech revolution is comingaroundwith the availability of better tech & tools. The session on strategic investment talkedabout theedgedifferentiation bringswhere funding is concerned. Build vs Buy roundtable discussed opportunity cost, effort, and time associated with both sides of this conundrum. Web 3 . 0 roundtable pointed out that the revolution will enable us to democratize value, giving users complete control over their valuable assets and their dissemination.  The FinTech roundtable remarked that tech and data are keys to the fintech revolution.
