Dr. Anju Kumar
Dear Friends,
I
am very pleased to be part of the 2017
edition of India-Israel Business Guide. I
am confident that the publication would
be a useful tool for businessmen in both
countries who wish to engage with each
other. Such publications with a pragmatic
outlook could provide valuable inputs to
the industry.
As India and Israel celebrate 25 years of
establishment of their full diplomatic ties,
it is time to reflect what has been achieved
and what more could be done for themutual
benefit of our two peoples.
Our bilateral relationship has strengthened
and diversified to all fields of human endeavor.
Time is ripe to strengthen our cooperation
in traditional areas such as water and food
security and deepen ties in academic,
science & technology and joint research and
innovation.Indian and Israeli economies are
complementary in nature. Israeli strengths
such as innovation, out of the box solutions
and academic excellence can be matched
by Indian strengths and could be taken to
very large scales for Indian, Israeli and third-
country markets.
The recent high level visits including of
the two Presidents, India’s Foreign Minister,
Israeli Defence Minister and others have
shown increased focus of the two political
establishments to take the relationship to
a new level. I hope that stakeholders on
both sides would be able to channelize the
ongoing momentum for the greater good
of people in both India and Israel. My team
at the Embassy would be glad to facilitate
all efforts on this front.
I congratulate all those who made this
publication a reality and wish them all the
very best in their future endeavours.
Regards,
Dr. Anju Kumar
